I find little canvases are just as much fun to paint as my big paintings. Simplicity is just as important in a big or small painting, but especially in a 6x6.  Too many lines lose their power and grace by becoming just busy lines.  Little paintings remind me that even on its larger canvas counterpart, the impact of the negative and positive space is powerful with few lines. As on all my canvases, I prime my backgrounds with Golden Acrylic Titanium White with a broad palette knife or large house brush to provide a quiet background for my vibrant colors chosen for the mustang.  Everything is done in layers of colorful glazes and left to dry completely before the next layer.  These layers are done with either a brush or palette knife. Each layer can be seen through the next layer.  I paint my mustangs with a brighter color.
